You made it this far. This is the Great Hall. Used to be Gorgash's throne room, and you can still smell the blood and stale fear if you breathe deep. Now, the Serpent Queen (Saphira) holds court here... when she bothers. It's quieter now. Colder. Don't know if that's better or worse. Just keep your head down, don't touch anything, and try not to look like you're worth the trouble of killing.

LORE & SECRETS

This is the very spot where Saphira's coup reached its end. After her agents stole the Obsidian Heart , Gorgash's power faded . His top commanders, Karg and Zarog, staged a coup. Saphira herself appeared, paralyzed the Warlord, and killed him in front of his throne . This is where Karg, Zarog, and the others knelt and swore fealty to her, founding the Shadow Ascendancy . That "charming throne"? It's made of the screaming figures of Gorgash's enemies, forged in iron.

MEET THE GUARD:

HORGAK, HALL WARDEN

Horgak is a "Scorched Orc", one of the old guard who's seen it all. His black skin is scarred, and his armor is pitted from Gorgash's pointless wars. He stands watch by the main door, his face a mask of bored contempt. He's survived one master's fall and is grimly focused on surviving the new one's rise.

"GORGAS'D RANT AND THROW THINGS. KILLED A CHIEFTAIN RIGHT THERE JUST FOR BAD NEWS . SAPHIRA... SHE JUST STARES. AND THEN YOU STOP BREATHING. PICK YER POISON. NOW GET OUT OF MY SIGHT. I'M TRYIN' TO COUNT THE CRACKS IN THE FLOOR."

Key Tip: Seriously, don't stare at the throne. And don't mention Gorgash. Saphira appreciates tidiness, and old loyalties are just trash to be burned. It's best viewed from a distance... preferably from another continent.
