WELCOME TO THE PATH OF ANCIENTS. MIND YOUR STEP.
Forget your dwarven roads and elven bridges. This is the only mortal path to the high peaks, and it does not welcome you. The Sky Breaker Stair is a treacherous, crumbling series of ledges carved into the sheer face of the mountain. The wind here is a living thing, a razor that seeks to tear you from the rock and send you tumbling into the mists below. The air is thin, the stone is loose, and the only sound is that wind, howling its mournful song.
Horgath is one of the few mortals to climb the Stair and return. A grizzled human prospector with fingers like iron pitons and a beard like frosted granite, he makes a meager living scavenging the path for gems loosened by the wind and items dropped by... less fortunate climbers. He's seen it all and respects nothing but the mountain's wrath.
MEET THE SURVIVOR: "GRIZZLED" HORGATH

"THINK YOU'RE A HERO? THE STAIR DON'T CARE. IT'LL BREAK YOUR BONES SAME AS ANYONE ELSE'S. SAW A DOZEN PROUD WARRIORS TRY TO CLIMB IT LAST YEAR. FOUND A VERY NICE HELMET A FEW WEEKS LATER. DON'T LOOK DOWN. BETTER YET, JUST TURN AROUND."
LORE & SECRETS
This is the very path Scott, Thrain, and Sally were forced to take to reach Drakthor. It is a perilous route, exposed to the elements and home to territorial beasts. It was here the heroes were attacked by vicious Cliff Drakes , who they fought off on the unstable, crumbling ledges. The path is not just a climb; it's a trial of endurance against the mountain itself.
Key Tip: Many who attempt the climb do not arrive. Test every handhold. Do not trust the loose scree. And if you hear a screech from the sky above, find an overhang. The Cliff Drakes are faster than you are.
